I've gotta say, I have great clients. Earlier this year, one of my clients started offering quarterly professional development workshops for all of us contractor/freelancers who work with them. My plan has been to just show up on principle because 1) they are offering it and 2) I love professional/personal development.
As business owners and professionals its practically impossible for us to reach the level of success we want if we're unhealthy and lacking energy. I KNOW this is true for me and I'm willing to wager the same is true for you.
When I found out that the next webinar was going to be about nutrition, I didn't think much of it, already running through a mental list of all the things I know I can change about my eating habits (more water, less candy, more fresh stuff, less dairy, etc etc…). But, this was so much more than that (and really, it wasn't even about that at all, which I loved). One of the first things Karlee Fain, the expert of the hour, talked about was how to tell when you're not nourished and how that shows up in your life. Everyone on the line could relate and I was recounting all kinds of bad behavior that I could now at least partially find a cause for.
The webinar really impacted me and as soon as it was over, I was wracking my brain for people to share it with. It took me a little while, but I reached out to Karlee and asked her if she'd do the webinar for my community. And here we are. I know plenty of health professionals and coaches and have read tons of blogs and books, but this was different and super practical. Karlee really made us all feel like we could make big shifts easily – I've already made two in the weeks since the webinar and I'm much better for it.
