This week marked the second stop of the At the Helm: Women in Biz 2013 tour. The event was in San Francisco, one of my favorite cities (more on that in another post). Because so many great things are always happening in SF, I was excited to bring At the Helm to this vibrant and active community.
Our gracious and helpful sponsor, Wix.com, set us up with a fantastic venue – the historic San Francisco Women’s Building. I couldn’t think of a better place to host At the Helm! Wix also hooked attendees up with some fantastic treats, including some drop-dead delicious coconut macaroons from Bi-Rite Creamery. I had to buy two bags to take back to L.A. with me…but that’s a whole ‘nother story! It was great working with a sponsor that was open, supportive, and engaging. Part of the Wix team in San Francisco even came out to connect with the At the Helm community.
Our featured speaker was Jen Duchene, an author, speaker and design expert. Her talk on the importance of creating a “chic cocoon of success” hit home with me for sure. Several audience members also chimed in about how relevant the information was to them. Jen and I have been connected online for a few years now and when I reached out to her months ago, hoping to get her in on At the Helm 2012, I knew she’d be fantastic. I wasn’t disappointed.

San Francisco was a joy and I was so happy to have it as a tour stop. Next up – Los Angeles!
